Jasper + Myrtle are choco-block full of awards

Jasper + Myrtle at the Capital Region Farmers Market

It’s no secret that Jasper + Myrtle create some of the most sought-after chocolates in Canberra and beyond. That’s why it’ll come as no surprise that in May, the talented chocolatiers won 5 more international medals at the 2018 Academy of Chocolate Awards in London.

Jasper + Myrtle’s string of awards includes one silver award for their 72% Bougainville Classic Dark Drinking Chocolate, Bronzes for both their Rum Toddy, and Cinnamon + Spice Drinking Chocolate and a bronze for their Coconut and Ginger Dark Chocolate Bar. They also won a Bronze for their packaging.

The Academy of Chocolate is a worldwide competition for chocolate and has been running since 2005 in London.  This year, the Academy had 1,200 entries from more than 45 countries, making Jasper + Myrtle’s multiple wins a big feat.

Congratulations Jasper + Myrtle!

Mushrooms and Olive Oil are winners

Homeleigh Grove at the Capital Region Farmer's Market

Homeleigh Grove and Shoalhaven Mushrooms are showing Australia and the world how it’s done, with both stallholders winning awards over the past month.

Homeleigh Grove was awarded a Silver medal in the London International Olive Oil Competition for their 2017 Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil, showing that local produce can compete on the world stage. This award comes after winning Silver in the Olive Awards of France this time last year. Congratulations Homeleigh Grove!

Shoalhaven Mushrooms were also recently named as a finalist in the 2018 Australian Small Business Champion Awards – Australia’s most prestigious Small Business Awards Program – in the Fresh Food category.

Congratulations Homeleigh Grove and Shoalhaven Mushrooms! We’re very lucky to have world-class stallholders with us every Saturday morning at the Capital Region Farmers Market.
