Diary Date: Last Market before Christmas

Christmas cherries at the Capital Region Farmers Market

Ho Ho Ho-eads up! Our last Market for 2017 will be on Saturday 23rd December. That’s Christmas Eve, Eve. It’s your last chance to get in for all your holiday food needs.

You will find fresh seasonal Christmas fruit like cherries and stone fruit, meats including Christmas hams, sumptuous seafood including fish, oysters and prawns, plus all the Christmas sweet treats like puddings, cakes and chocolates.

If you’re stuck for last minute Christmas gift ideas, head in for the Farmers Market Cook Book or a Gift Card – both are available from the Rotary Help Desk at the Market entry.  Seasons Eatings!

Hampers are back!

We know it’s close to Christmas when we spy the Capital Region Christmas Hampers.

These lovely gift boxes offer a little taste from many of our regular stallholders and make great Christmas gifts for those with a passion for quality food and wine. The hampers come in two sizes, the smaller for $49 and the large for $89 and come packed with goodies from the Market including wine, coffee, chai, chocolates, nuts, preserves and olive oil.

You can buy these gorgeous hampers from the Four Winds Vineyard stand at the Market each Saturday until Christmas Day.

Come see us for all your Christmas food needs

Fresh tasty food, lower food miles and knowing that you’re supporting local farmers are just three reasons to make the Market the place to tick off your Christmas food list.

Over the coming weeks you’ll find amazing seafood including fish, oysters and prawns.

Seasonal fruits including cherries from our growers in Young, and a whole load of juicy peaches and nectarines from Harrison & Sons await.

You can buy your meats for Christmas with delicious hams from Box Gum Grazing, and pick up a whole turkey for your table from Thirlmere Poultry Supply.

There’s many sweet treats to add to the merriment including vegan and gluten free Christmas cakes from Crafted Cupcakery.

And to decorate, you can pick up beautiful fresh Christmas trees from Santa’s Shaped Christmas Trees or St Nicholas Christmas Trees.

So much to stock up on!
