We are Australias only Irish Bakery, our product is very unique.
I established the business 8 years ago when I moved to Sydney from Dublin with my wife and 5 young kids. We were escaping the GFC which hit Ireland pretty bad in 2009. Not sure of what to do next, we needed to earn a living, I knew I wasn’t keen on going back into the corporate world but after that, I had no clue!
We quickly noticed the lack of traditional Irish bread, particularly soda bread, this heavy cake-like bread is unlike anything else sold in Australia and very popular among the Irish community and people who have visited Ireland.
So an idea formed, we baked 24 loaves of soda in our home oven and brought them to our local Bundeena market, they sold out immediately. And a business was born. 8 years later we have our own bakery where we produce a range of Irish bread to sell at markets throughout the Sydney region.
