Mick Auddino from Auddino’s Produce, a long time stallholder, is the subject of a short online documentary, Orange Tree Blues. This doco shares the powerful story about farming and Mick’s devastation at the loss of productive fruit trees due to a downturn in exports. Thankfully, Markets like ours are a good thing for farmers like Mick, and have assisted with sales. Mick says “buying direct from the farmers market is a fresher line of product…people are starting to wake up to it”.
