Q. Does the Market operate all year round?

Nearly all year round. We have to close during SummerNats, The Royal Canberra Show and The National Folk Festival. We also have a short break for Christmas and New Year. Find out about closure dates throughout the year via our News section and follow us on Facebook.

Q. Is there an entry fee to the Market?

No, entry is free to the public. Parking is also free with plenty available.

Q. Are you on the Northside of Canberra?

Yes.  We commonly get called the Northside Farmers Market, The EPIC markets, The markets at the showgrounds.  We are definitely not the Southside markets.

Q. Can I sell buy or sell craft at the Market?

No, the Market caters only for farm and food products.

Q. What can I buy at the Market?

Products sold at the Market have been approved by the Market Committee. Products include fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood, meat, bread and baked goods, honey, nuts, chocolates, wine, cheeses and much more. Q. What defines a producer?

Someone who grows, makes or creates a farm and/or food product.

Q.  Where is the Market held?

The Market is held at Exhibition Park (EPIC) in Canberra on the corner of the Federal Highway and Flemington Road, Watson ACT. You can view a location map here.

Q. How can I pay for my goods at the Market?

Most stallholders accept cash only, with a few select stallholders accepting EFTPOS or credit card. There are four ATMs located at the entrance to the Market, facing the Federal Hwy.

Q. When are you open?

Q. Do you have the same stallholders every single week?

No, stallholders change weekly depending on what produce is in season and available.

Q. How do I get there?

Q. Is there disabled parking onsite?

Yes, the parking has recently been upgraded to include a number of disabled parking spots near the main entrance near the toilet block.

Q. Can I bring my dog into the Market?

We definitely do love dogs but they are not allowed into the Market unless they are an authorised assistance dog – ie guide dogs, hearing dogs or service dogs. Many customers take advantage of Bicentennial Park, a shady grassed area with access to water just outside the Market.

Q. Is your Market child-friendly?

Yes, we welcome people of all ages. Kids love getting amongst all the colourful produce, having a taste of something new and meeting our friendly stallholders.

Q. Is there a bigger Farmers Market in Canberra?

No, we’re still the biggest and the best Canberra farmers market.
