Twelve months of market-fresh seasons, painted live at the Market
If you’ve wandered through the Kosciuszko Building on a Saturday morning, you may have spotted a easel set up among the stalls, a young artist in an apron, gouache paint on her brush, and a crate of tomatoes or a bucket of blooms taking shape on her paper. That’s Ineka Voigt, our Artist in Residence, and we’re delighted to give you a first look at what she’s been creating.
Introducing the 2027 Calendar
Since March 2025, Ineka has been painting at the Market every Saturday, capturing the colour and character of what our growers bring through the gates. Now, the best of those paintings have been gathered into the Capital Region Farmers Market x Ineka Voigt 2027 Calendar.
Featuring 14 original artworks, all painted right here at the Market, the calendar follows the growing year from the watermelons of January to the strawberries of December. Along the way you’ll find ripe heirloom tomatoes, golden pears, glossy pomegranates, persimmons, pumpkins, mushrooms, radicchio, a carton of farm-fresh eggs, and a joyful jug of spring flowers. Each month also includes a handy “What’s in Season” guide, so you’ll know what to look for at the stalls, plus room for your own notes.
A Calendar with a Purpose
Like everything at the Capital Region Farmers Market, this calendar is about more than the product itself. The Market is wholly owned and run by the Rotary Club of Hall, and operates on the principle of “Produce with Purpose”: profits are reinvested in the community. Proceeds from the calendar’s profits will go towards further Rotary Club of Hall projects supporting our community and beyond.
Since 2004, more than $4 million has been donated to community charities and projects, supporting causes from the Canberra region to communities across the Pacific. Every calendar sold helps add to that.
How to Get Yours
The 2027 calendar is $25 (including GST) and will be available over the coming weeks from the Customer Service Desk at the Market. We’ll share launch details very soon, so keep an eye on our newsletter and social channels.
With its seasonal guides and beautiful artwork, it makes a wonderful gift for the food lover in your life (or a treat for your own kitchen wall).
