We grow seasonal, chemical-free flowers on Gundungurra Country. Our focus is regenerative agriculture that provides substantial biodiversity, environmental and climate benefits, as well as a sustainable farming future for our land. We currently encourage biodiversity by promoting the regeneration of bushland and native species vital to wildlife and native birds (e.g. casuarina trees for glossy black cockatoos), growing our flowers without the use of pesticides, and by planting native trees/shrubs and prioritising the use of native foliage in our bouquets.
We monitor bushland areas on our farm during wild harvesting of native species.
We made a conscious decision to only sell our produce locally to the Canberra/Goulburn markets to reduce the transport impacts of the flower industry on climate change (we do not freight/transport our product out of area). We only sell chemical-free products grown on our farm (we do not buy in stock transported from around Australia/overseas).
We also minimise the environmental waste impacts of packaging in the flower industry through the use of biodegradable products, by eliminating bouquet paper/plastic wraps from our products, and by minimising the use of plastic and petroleum-based products on our farm as much as possible. We believe flowers are a product that should have very minimal environmental impact.
