The second market for 2015 has a few more of your favourite Stallholders back from their Christmas holidays.
Citrus fans would have noticed a shortage of oranges last market with our two main citrus growers from Leeton taking that extra week off. Have no fear! Warrick Morris is back with his new season Valencia oranges and reports that Tahitian limes are only a few markets away from being ready.
Auddino’s Produce, who are the big citrus stall at the entrance to the CRFM, are loaded up with rockmelons. Lucky for us, rockmelons love the hot weather.
Young District Stone Fruit return for their first market of the season with plums. Laurie is a 10 year stallholder and every now and then he toys with the idea of retiring from growing the best plums in Young but thankfully he just can’t get enough of those early Saturday morning starts!
Don’t forget that the CRFM has all your Australia Day BBQ needs covered. Wether it be beef from Kurrajong Country Meats, pork from Boxgum Grazing, lamb from Moorlands Biodynamic Lamb, chicken from Hillside Pastured Farm or fish from Narooma Seafood, you can be sure that you are tucking into local produce and you are supporting local Farmers and Producers at the same time.
