What’s in season: Fresh Southern Bluefin Tuna fished off Narooma

Therés no doubt this year has been particularly difficult for many, including those on the South Coast of NSW. They’ve endured the devastating summer bushfires and now Covid-19. Tough times indeed. One of the biggest disruptions to our South Coast fishermen and women from Narooma Seafood Direct has been the disruption to the export market due to Covid. But there’s a silver lining for us Canberrans, it means that right now there is more beautiful fresh fish available to us. Including Southern Bluefin Tuna. Sashimi grade Southern Bluefin Tuna is normally exported and sold around the world for over $100 per kilogram. But with the export market completely disrupted, Narooma Seafood Direct is offering it at Market for around $40 per kilogram. The tuna is fished off Narooma and comes direct from the coast to Canberra. It doesn’t come any fresher than that!
