We are thrilled this month to announce four new stallholders which will be joining our ever-growing Market. It’s an interesting mix in February, with sugar plum specialists Prickle Hill Produce, a new wine producer Riverflats Vineyard, environmentally conscious pet food providers Wardily Paws Pet Food, and the experienced farmers from Jafaries Produce.
Prickle Hill Produce: Situated on a sand hill 15km Southwest of Coleambally in NSW, Prickle Hill Produce is a 40ha property that is simply bursting with sugar plums for both the fresh and dried fruit markets. In 2012, owners Roy and Judy Duffell planted 2.5ha of Chinese Red Dates (also known as Jujubes), as well as 8ha of native plants as part of a biodiversity incentive plan to encourage long-term survival of native flora and fauna.
Visit stall 30 for dried plums and jujubes, plums in port, silver medal-winning Worcester sauce (from the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show), or various homemade sauces, jams and chutneys.
Jafaries Produce: Experienced farmers with 25 years of experience growing fresh fruit and vegetables in Young, NSW, using traditional farming techniques to grow their produce with the minimal use of chemicals. These guys specialise in okra, chillies, and broad beans, and you’ll be able to find them every Saturday at stall 132.
Riverflats Vineyards: A new wine producer from Leeton joins us this month at the Market. Vince Bruno from Riverflats Vineyards will be bringing a selection of wines, preserved olives and pecans to the Market each week at stall 134.
Wardily Paws Pet Food: Wardily Paws is the brainchild of two young siblings, Edward and Emily. In 2020, the pair collaborated to develop a pet food product that is better for your pet, the environment and animal welfare. Created with high quality free-range chickens, Wardily Paws has taken on the BARF*(Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) philosophy, which is a more natural product for your pet, and just as nature intended, no preservatives, no colouring, no additives, and nothing but natural food for your dogs and cats.
