Website Privacy Policy

This Privacy Statement is made on behalf of the Capital Region Farmers Markets and all references to ‘CRFM’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in this statement are references to the Capital Region Farmers Markets and its supporting organisation, The Rotary Club of Hall.

Protecting your information is important

The Capital Region Farmers Markets understands the importance you attach to information that identifies you (your ‘personal information’) and wants to help you protect it. We want you to be able to deal with us in full confidence that your personal information will only be dealt with by us in the ways we have described to you and that it will be held securely.

This Privacy Statement tells you how we collect information when you visit this site, what we do with that information and how you can gain access to personal information held by us.

Collection of Information through the Website

CRFM collects information about you each time you come to any part of the CRFM web site. We also collect information regarding the last site you visited before coming to CRFM web site. This information is collected for statistical analysis to continually improve CRFM’s services and web site and no attempt is made by CRFM to identify the user.

Collection of Information through the App

CRFM collects information when you download the CRFM App, as well as when you register inside the app. If you register with a social network account, we will receive the email address associated with the social network account. This information is collected for statistical analysis; to engage with app users, including to ensure the appropriate use of social features. Should a user not register with the CRFM app, we will receive statistical, non-identifiable data from Apple when the app is downloaded.

Included within the CRFM app are options to provide personal information, such as a user’s First and Last Name, biographical information, website address and location. This information is not required to use the app, and can be updated at any time by the user. When you login with Facebook, you grant CRFM permission to receive you profile picture and basic profile information such as your name and email address. You are also able to choose to post from the app, and by posting to Facebook, you give CRFM permission to do this. CRFM is not able to post or view any other information in regards to your Facebook account, such as, but not limited to post likes, or details about your friends.

CRFM will not be responsible for any personal information that is shared through social messaging and check-in functionality. Whilst the app uses geo-location to show stallholders near the app user, this data is not shared in any way with CRFM or any other third party.

What information we collect about you and what we do with it

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To improve our website
    (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)

    (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)

The email address you provide may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your enquiry, in addition to receiving occasional news, updates or service information, etc.

When you send a message to the Capital Region Farmers Market

If you submit information to us either using an electronic form or application or by sending an email we collect that information and use it for the purposes that you have provided it. For example, if you send us an email requesting information the markets, we will use the information to respond to your enquiry. Your details will not be used to add to a general mailing list, without your prior consent.

When you subscribe to the enewsletter

If you sign up to the CRFM enewsletter, we receive your name and email address. Through the email system we will receive information when you open an email from us, if you click on a link, or forward the email to a friend. Out of respect for your privacy we provide a way to opt-out of these communications via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

What is a Cookie and what are they used for?

Updating your Personal Information

If you are aware that any of your personal information is inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date following a request for access, or because your circumstances have changed, please inform CRFM so that we can update your records. CRFM will not refuse to make a correction without providing you with a reason for the refusal. App users can update any information previously given via the inbuild My Profile functionality within the app. Usernames cannot be changed as all other user data is associated with this identifier.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
