Keeping the Market authentic – October 2013

Here at the Market when we say authentic, we really mean it. All stallholders at the Capital Region Farmers Market are required to be genuine producers. That’s why the Hall Rotarians and Market Manager visit all farms and/or kitchens and processing plants belonging to any new market applicants to check out their products and confirm authenticity. We also conduct yearly visits for all existing stallholders to ensure authenticity. So that means if they say they’re selling carrots and we show up, then we want to see carrots! It’s just another way we’re guaranteeing our products are real, authentic, and follow the Market’s fresh farm to plate approach.
