Some of you may have seen our wonderful monthly cooking demonstrations by the very talented forchefs. If you don’t know about the forchefs program itself, it has been developed for chefs, by chefs, to meet the training needs of the hospitality industry embracing a paddock to plate philosophy – hence why the Market is such a good match! Our partnership creates a connection between our apprentices and local growers and producers, and provides the opportunity to build skills in presenting cooking demonstrations for the public, meeting growers and being immersed in the market’s community. You can join the chefs at the upcoming awards night where one local chef will be recognised for his or her outstanding efforts in the program, and win a scholarship to a two hated restaurant in Singapore. The forchefs presentation night is to be held on Monday 18 November at The Abbey Function Centre at Federation Square. Cost is $55 for a three course meal, with the opportunity to buy your own drinks.
