As promised last month, July will see a very special visitor grace the Market. None other than international celebrity chef, Antonio Carluccio, who will be in town this month as the patron of The Canberra & Capital Region Truffle Festival.  Antonio will join Minister Andrew Barr with a live cooking demonstration at the Market on 26 July from 8.30-9.30am.  Due to his popularity, we are anticipating a much larger number of customers than usual so we will be temporarily relocating our mobile kitchen, as a one-off, to the outside area behind the Mowbray Park Produce Truck.

So get to the Market early to catch this much loved and respected Italian cookery writer, chef, restaurateur and food expert. Antonio will tour the Market and will also do a book signing following his cooking demonstration with the Minister.

And don’t forget that it’s truffle season at the Market too. We will have several truffle producers on site with their valuable culinary gems which are in season now – you can get truffles from Terra Preta Truffles and Turalla Truffles throughout July or until sold out.
