Our stallholders are a busy bunch. And this month two of our favourites Lark Hill Wine Co and Robyn Rowe Chocolates have been involved in Human Brochure part two – the 101 Local Humans project which encourages locals to share their knowledge of Canberra right from their own backyard. It’s great to see our local stallholders becoming tour guides in their own time and sharing their local food and produce stories with the ‘humans’ who consist of locals and visiting friends and relatives.
Chris from Lark Hill hosted a group of four for a Market tour where they met producers, talked about the produce available, shopped for ingredients and then travelled to the Lark Hill Winery where they cooked their own lunch with the food bought at the Market. And all paired with Lark Hill Wine of course. See what was posted on the Lark Hill experience here.
Robyn Rowe hosted eight guests for a hands on chocolate experience in her very own chocolate prep room. Lots of fun was had with chocolate moulding, dipping, piping, decorating and paintwork. With chefs’ hats and aprons donned, the group was thoroughly involved in all things chocolate and got to take their samples away for them to indulge in later on.
The Human Brochure project is another reminder of the importance of social media for the sharing of our local and region food stories.
