Let’s all take a moment to welcome the brightest season of the year, our old friend spring has returned (cue enthusiastic round of applause!) While the temperature in the shed is telling us the warm weather isn’t quite here to stay yet, the glimpses we’ve had like last weekend at Market, have been enough to show us what’s on the way. There’s real joy in the sunnier days, the lighter evenings and the sprinkling of new growth popping up around Canberra.
Spring is the season for new growth, regrowth and getting back into the garden, and there’s no better place to get expert advice than from our local plant and flower growers at Market.
Last spring our growers helped hundreds of Canberra gardeners get their garden beds back into shape, providing everything from advice about frost-hardy seedlings and which herbs to plant where, to fresh cut spring blooms to brighten up any home.
This year, our local plant, flower and seedling growers are equally as strong with their produce and their advice. Behind every stall is someone who’s spent years working out what actually thrives in a Canberra climate, through the frosts, the dry spells and everything in between. That’s knowledge you won’t find on a plant tag, and it’s free with every purchase if you just ask.
Right now at Market, we’re proud to feature spring growers including:
Charles and the team at Super Seedlings offer a large range of healthy, locally grown vegetable seedlings, all grown with care in the Yass Valley.
