Spotlight on horticulture: Shades of Green Nursery

Capital Region Farmers Market Stallholder: Shades of Green Nursery with a Sasanqua CamelliaWe’re often getting comments about how great our horticulture stallholders are. They’re the ones with gorgeous trees, shrubs, flowers and potted colour welcoming you at the Market’s main entry. Shades of Green Nursery are amongst them and right now have the stunning Sasanqua Camellia in season.

Onno and Judi de Smeth run this wholesale nursery nestled in the rolling hills of the Bodalla dairy belt. Plants are propagated from local stock and hardened on site so the plant grows up in the local climate and conditions which mirrors that of the ACT region. They sell a range of plants at the Market throughout the year including Camellias, Gardenias, Port Wine Magnolias, Azaleas, shrubs and grass varieties. Pick something for your garden on your next visit.
