Focus on Fresh and Local…..

Much news this week and the focus is all about celebrating the excellence of Australian produce. The Agribusiness Council held it’s inaugural National Feast hosted at Government House by the Governor General.

Several stallholders from the Capital Region Farmers Market had their produce included as part of the menu for the evening, and Carmen Brown from Honey Delight was lucky enough to attend the dinner and enjoy all the sumptuous treats on offer. Also showcasing their produce were: Loriendale Orchard – apples, Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory – chocolate, Small Cow Farm – cheese, Dream Cuisine – macarons. Also in the spotlight this week are Holbrook Paddock Eggs who were awarded a Gold Medal in the Royal Melbourne Fine Foods Awards 2015.
