Canberra’s original, biggest and best farmers market, the Capital Region Farmers Market, is seeking genuine producers to complement the current range of producer-stallholders.
New at the Market this week, Erika from pyoor.viand creates, bakes, and cooks healthy sweet and savoury foods that are either paleo, gluten free, vegan, and keto – or sometimes all at once! Their products include healthy baked and fried cakes, slices, muffins, doughnuts, and savoury scones and slices.
Michael from Hill Lock Orchard is a third-generation farmer who has been coming to our Market from way back in the early days, when his Dad would set up shop to sell their ever-popular cherries. Michael says it’s amazing that he still sees the same faces every week that he did as a boy, and he reckons the close-knit community is more like a family than just a place to sell produce.

Capital Region Farmers Market will be CLOSED this Saturday.

It’s an interesting mix in February, with sugar plum specialists Prickle Hill Produce, a new wine producer Riverflats Vineyard, environmentally conscious pet food providers Wardily Paws Pet Food, and the experienced farmers from Jafaries Produce.
Homeleigh Grove is one of our original stallholders, and their almost two decades of Market attendance is a testament to their dedication to providing high quality olive products to the Canberra region.
At the Market, we’re very lucky to be able to offer fresh tomatoes year-round due to some of our producers who have hydroponic and green house set ups. But in February (weather permitting!), marketgoers can experience the rich flavours of naturally grown varieties, in particular heirloom species.
In addition to our regular Saturday morning Market where shoppers can buy everything from tasty Christmas hams, seafood, baked treats, and fresh fruit and vegetables, we’ll offer customers one more […]
