Long time stallholders, Peter and Caroline O’Clery of Homeleigh Grove olive oils, have another reason to be very proud having just scored a Gold medal at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show earlier this month. The show, part of one of several competitive events that the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW organises every year, attracted many entries into this year’s Sydney Royal Olive Oil Competition with 17 classes featured.
Gold medals are highly sought after, and this year there were only three Golds awarded to NSW producers in the commercial Extra Virgin Olive Oil and flavoured oil classes. Homeleigh won a Gold for their Rosemary & Thyme oil. They also scored two Silvers and a Bronze medal – the latter for their interesting wild lime and chilli oil. Be sure to try these interesting oils on your next visit to the Market. And congratulations Homeleigh Grove!
