What’s in Season: Merry Cherry Season!

As the weather is starting to warm up, albeit in a very wet way right now, cherry season is upon us. And with all the rain, we are really hoping it’s going to be a very merry cherry season.

What we really love about cherries is that their arrival heralds that summer is near. Time for all those delicious summer fruits, and these red beauties often bring a smile to people’s faces.

Cherries are lovely as a snack, to fill kids’ lunch boxes or adorn your summer fruit platters, and they are a very good source of fibre, vitamins and minerals including potassium, calcium, vitamin A and folic acid. Cherries are also rich in antioxidants.

Our growers have cherries in abundance right now, so come in and take your pick from Torry Hill Orchards,  Hill Lock Orchard and Drive In Orchards, all from in and around Young NSW. They don’t come any fresher!
