What’s in season? Imperial Mandarins

Freshly picked mandarins at the Capital Region Farmers Market Perhaps no fruit heralds the arrival of winter as much as the humble Mandarin. That sweet orange coloured fruit that comes in its own neat packaging – just perfect for little fingers to open at morning tea time, and for a delightful treat that also aids in warding off the winter colds.

Imperial Mandarins are back and ripe for the (Market) picking right now. Unfortunately as the weather has not been as cold as usual for this time of year, the Imperials are not as sweet as they sometimes are, however still highly delicious.

You can bag yourself some Imperial Mandarins direct from Auddino’s Produce from Wamoon in NSW, and Warwick Morris – Fruit and Veg from Leeton.
