This Week At Market
Join us this Saturday as 2CC broadcasts LIVE from the market with their programs The Garden Gurus from 7-9am and Canberra Weekender from 9-12pm.
It’s one of our favourite times of the year at CRFM, when Autumn produce starts to nudge out Summer and we get to experience new flavours, sights and smells.
And because of Autumn, we get to welcome back Featherdale Chestnuts with their fresh and roasted chestnuts from Tumut!
What else is looking good at the start of this new season? Figs, pomegranates, grapes and new season apples are all grabbing our attention right now.
Also back this weekend is Jasper & Myrtle, just in time for upcoming Easter. And talking of… have you found your favourite Hot Cross Buns at the market yet? There’s an amazing selection on offer from our bakers… it’s hard to know how to choose!
Andrew and Helen from Willayoung Orchards are back for one last week, there’s not a single plum left on the trees they tell us, so be sure to stock up on the last of their delicious ‘October Sun’ plums.
This fortnight you’ll find Hundred Acres Produce (figs!), La Truffiere, Mick Curtis Bananas, Homeleigh Grove, Pride of Lunatics and Kuch’s Plants. And a heads up for this Saturday, it’s the last week for Gyoza Guy before he heads off on a holiday for a month so I recommend grabbing a few packs of gyozas for the freezer to get you through.
If we experience heavy rain you might find some of our outdoor stallholders have relocated indoors this week. Check in at the Customer Service Desk and our friendly Rotary volunteers will be able to point you in the right direction.
