A very cherry Market – Saturday 23 November 2024

Capital Region Farmers Market is THE place to buy the best and freshest cherries from the Canberra region – not only to these beauties look lovely, they’re plump, juicy, fresh and come direct form the growers. We just love our cherries, and we know our customers do too!

That’s why this year we’re celebrating the fabulous cherry with a special theme day – A Very Cherry Market.

Taking place on Saturday 23^rd November 2024, A Very Cherry Market will highlight our region’s dedicated cherry growers and all the delicious cherry products they bring with them to Market including cherry jams, sauces and mouth-watering baked goods.

Alongside our Very Cherry Market festivities, we also have an amazing lineup of farmers and producers for you, showcasing the best of our region’s summer producers.

Willayoung Orchards is back for their first market of the season with a range of cherry varieties such as the Belise, the ever-popular Royal Rainier and a heritage variety, Eagles which was first grown in the late 1880s. They’ll also be bringing fresh cherry pies
Clyde River Berry Farm will be back (subject to weather)!
It’s also the pick of the month for Saturdays with fortnightly and monthly stallholders including Pepo Farms, Moorlands Bio-dynamic Lamb, Stone Dog Meadery, Black Horse Fine Foods, Murray River Smokehouse, La Truffiere, Hundred Acres Produce, Homeleigh Grove, Alpine Nuts and Mick Curtis Bananas.

Getting to the Market

We’re located on the grounds of Exhibition Park In Canberra, Mitchell. Open every Saturday 7-11.30am.

Entry is via:

🟢 Old Well Station Road through the two gates – our Farmers Market Gate and the Double Gate Road into our carpark ONLY.

🟢 Northbourne Avenue/Federal Highway at Gate 4 (Service Station/McDonalds entry), turn right and follow road to Farmers Market Carpark.

🚶‍♂️🚴‍♂️ Pedestrian and Cycling access is available at Gate 4 (Service Station entry)

🚆 Light Rail Access: After getting off at Flemington Road stop, enter via Gate 1 (directly across from the light rail station) and walk around the ring road to the market.

🐕‍🦺 Please note that dogs are not permitted within the Market Shed (assistance dogs allowed) however they are more than welcome to hang out in Bicentennial Park directly next door.

Sample the region’s freshest produce at the Capital Region Farmers Market, a community project run by the Rotary Club of Hall.
This week we’re welcoming back Armanini Produce and John & Dora Andonaros with fresh asparagus, Formichi Smallgoods, Nanophire Microgreens, Randall’s Organic Rice, Gum Tree Pies, Yenda Strawberries, Cascades Nursery, Stonedog Meadery and NEW stallholder Salads Direct from Cobargo.
Getting to the Market
We’re located on the grounds of Exhibition Park In Canberra, Mitchell.
Entry is via:
🟢 Old Well Station Road through the two gates – our Farmers Market Gate and the Double Gate Road into our carpark; and
🟢 Northbourne Avenue/Federal Highway at Gate 4 (Service Station/McDonalds entry), turn right and follow road to Farmers Market Carpark.
⛔ There is NO access via the road through the Shipping Containers from Mitchell.
🚶‍♂️🚴‍♂️ Pedestrian and Cycling access is available at Gate 4 (Service Station entry)
🚆 Light Rail Access: After getting off at Flemington Road stop, walk to the main entrance of EPIC and then follow the ring road up to the market (total 1km)
